Just like a bus, none around for ages and then two in one day! I tried to post the light hearted message earlier in the week but blogger must have been having an off day and wouldn't let me!
So what's new then? Well to be honest not that much. John has started at Sainsbury's and, now we have a new payroll person, I have been throwing myself into my new role with great vigour and enjoying it more and more. Still plenty more to learn though and I am off on a course in March which should give me loads and loads of info to digest and hopefully be of some use! Time will tell.
The big news topic at the moment is Jade Goody's wedding. I must admit I like Jade. What you see is what you get....a bit like me really! I can not understand how people can still be whinging on about her and the money she is raising. I really feel for that young lady and it doesn't matter what our opinions are of her I think any mother would do whatever she could to secure a safe future for her children. All the moaning just seems to smack of sheer jealousy to me. Go on Jade, you are hurting no one so do what you feel is right. And I wish you all the very best over the next few weeks, my thought will be with you.
On the scrapping front I have managed a couple of layouts both of the lovely Samhara.
This is one of her dressing up times when she was a model at one of our Helen's bridal fayres. She was so good and just loves the lime light. There were certainly lots of 'Awwwww's when she stepped out on the stage! The pictures haven't scanned very well, they are very sharp and clear on the actual layout so I'm not sure what went wrong there!
These are some of her on the new pink bike! She is definitely a 'pink' lady! Anyway I think I have done plenty of her for now and am going to move on to someone else! I have actually started on my Alcudia holiday album so I will show you that when it is completed. I'm in the middle of doing some canvases for our bedroon. (£12 for 4 at the Factory Shop and all sized at 24" x 24" so they are a real bargain.) I did three for our new bathroom and John was so impressed he said I should do some for the bedroom, so I am! I'll take a pic when they are in place.
Anyway, bye for now and happy crafting!

Warn your friends!
This has actually happened to me ....and is too 'important' not to pass on....
You've heard about people who have been abducted and had their kidneys removed by black-market organ thieves. Well my thighs were stolen from me during the night a few years ago. I went to sleep and woke up with
someone else's thighs. It was just that quick. The worst thing about it was that these replacements had the texture of cooked oatmeal. Whose thighs were these and what happened to mine? I spent the entire summer looking for my thighs. Finally, hurt and angry, I resigned myself to living out my life in jeans.
And then the thieves struck again. My bottom was next. I knew it was the same gang, because they took pains to match my new rear-end to the thighs they had stuck me with earlier. But my new bottom was attached at least three inches lower than my original! I realized I'd have to give up my jeans in favour of long skirts.
Two years ago I realized my arms had been switched. One morning I was fixing my hair and was horrified to see the flesh of my upper arm swing to and fro with the motion of the hairbrush. This was really getting scary - my body was being replaced one section at a time. What could they do to me next?
When my poor neck suddenly disappeared and was replaced with a turkey neck, I decided to tell my story in the hope that I could warn as many women as possible. Women of the world, wake up and smell the coffee! Those 'plastic' surgeons are using REAL replacement body parts -stolen from you and me! The next time someone you know has something 'lifted'..... look again - was it lifted from you?
THIS IS NOT A HOAX. This is happening to women everywhere every night. WARN YOUR FRIENDS! These same thieves come into my closet and shrink my clothes! How do they do it????
P.S. Last year I thought some one had stolen my Boobs. I was lying in bed and they were gone! But when I jumped out of bed, I was relieved to see that they had just been hiding in my armpits as I slept. Now I keep
them hidden in my waistband.

Bringing back the hurt.
A friend has just lost her father unexpectedly. I went round to see her with some flowers to bring a slight point of brightness to her days and a bottle of wine to get blasted with. As you can imagine she is heart broken and the pain was so raw in her eyes. How I remember that feeling! My own dad died 7 years ago now and I can still remember the overwhelming pain of it all. I was totally unaware of how much it was going to hurt and his death was expected. It must be so much worse for her as they had no idea this was going to happen.
It's a physical hurt, deep inside and even now I still think about my dad at some point every day. The pain does ease, I don't cry for him now, but it never goes completely. Like me, my friend has family around so they can help each other travel this dark road. And me? Well I shall remember her in my prayers and also thank God that I have been there, done that and because of this knowledge I can offer her a shoulder to cry on or an arm to lean on when or if she wants them.
Anyway on a lighter note, John has been offered a job at Sainsbury's. It is only a few hours a week but it is a start and there is usually plenty of overtime going. He starts the weekend after next so that will be another change in our lives. There seem to have been so many lately. Never mind, it would be boring if everything always stayed the same! I start training someone to do my payroll job on Monday so that will be great. I can finally concentrate on learning more about my new role. I'm surprised how much I have actually picked up in the past few weeks even just doing a bit here and there. I must still have some functioning brain cells!
I managed to get a cracking photo of Samhara and Thomas last week. She looks so innocent and angelic but I don't know what she has done to him to cause that amount of pain.....or should I just guess!!!!
Anyway I'm off to do a bit more painting in the bathroom. John has been working really hard on it over the past couple of weeks and it is now nearly finished. It looks amazing and I am really pleased with it all. I've even managed to paint three canvases for the wall to match the wall paper. They aren't on the wall yet so may end up in the bin if they don't look right!
